How to join UKChatBox

New to Discord?

1. Tap "Join our Discord". The invite opens in the Discord app, or in your web browser if you don't have the app.
2. Make a free account. Pick a username and add your email. Discord will ask you to confirm it — check your inbox.
3. Accept the invite. You'll land in the UKChatBox server.
4. Read the rules and say hello. Head to the main chat room, introduce yourself and join in.

You can use Discord in your browser, but the free app is better on phones — it gives you notifications when people reply. Get it from the App Store, Google Play or discord.com for PC and Mac.

Into Fortnite?

We have a separate invite for the Fortnite room, where people team up and share clips.

Getting started tips

• Set a profile picture and nickname so people recognise you.
• Not sure where to post? Ask in the main room — someone will point you the right way.
• Turn off notifications for busy rooms in Discord's settings if your phone gets too chatty.
• Need a moderator? Mention them in chat or send them a direct message.

Prefer IRC?

UKChatBox started on IRC back in 2013, and the rooms are still there. They're bridged with Discord, so you'll be talking to everyone either way.
